Live Online Band Rehearsals

Not private lessons. A real band experience.Β

Play Music- Together

in the

Join a small group band for all agesβ€”learn your part, then play together.

We don’t run traditional classesβ€”we run rehearsals that teach.

For many people, joining a band can feel intimidating β€” too fast, too loud, too public, too overwhelming. Some live far from rehearsal spaces. Some struggle with anxiety. Some worry they’re β€œnot good enough yet.” Too often, the joy of playing together is reserved for those who feel confident enough to step into the room.

We built All Ages All Stages Band to change that.

Here, beginners with 1+ year of experience and advanced musicians can share the same virtual stage β€” each at a level that meets them where they are. Every song features 4 levels of difficulty, designed to work together so no one is rushed and no one is left behind. With the online aspect,Β  we use backing tracks, volume and mute buttons to create a virtually fear free space to make all the mistakes you need to make without anybody knowing it.

At All Ages All Stages Band, we believe music should feel like belonging.

Our resource library has materials that support many different ways to learn the music whether it be by reading it, learning it by ear or a combination of both. Resources available to band members include:  sheet music to read the music, recordings to hear the music, videos to see the music, letter names to spell out the music and solfège to sing the music first.

There are many ways to learn because everyone deserves a place in the music.

And when we remove the barriers β€” transportation, pressure, comparison β€” what remains is confidence, connection, and the simple, powerful joy of playing music together.

The All Ages All Stages Band Difference

At Your Own Pace

Most ensemble programs organize groups based on skill level, but in the All Ages All Stages Band, all levels can play in the same ensemble together.

This is possible because our music is designed with four progressive difficulty levels to choose from that can be performed at the same time.Β

Siblings, friends and family at different skill levels can be in the same band together!

We've Got Your Back - ing Track

Each piece includes professionally produced backing tracks, so you can rehearse as many times as you like, gaining confidence before performing live with others.Β

Band members can choose to use backing tracks during rehearsals until they feel comfortable enough to play live.

This flexible approach removes the pressure of needing to β€œget it right” in real timeβ€”an obstacle that can create anxiety for many learnersβ€”while still fostering the joy and connection of ensemble playing.

No Pressure Environment

In addition to supportive backing tracks, mute and volume controls offer members a variety of ways to play in the band. They can choose to be on mute and play along with the track, choose to unmute and play along with the backing track, or choose to play with no backing track at all.Β

Before each rehearsal, band members complete a pre rehearsal form to let the band leader know what songs they are playing with a backing track and what level. This way, each rehearsal is customized to your preferences and no time is wasted doing so during rehearsal.Β

Built-in Camaraderie

Β Social opportunities to share, collaborate and listen to each other are built into each 60 minute rehearsal. Band members are invited to share their favorite musicians, foods, colors and hobbies.

Every band will collectively come up with their own band name and every member can choose or be assigned a stage name.Β

There is never any pressure to share, only encouragement.

In Your Own Cozy Space

Experience playing in a band from the comfort of your home, or wherever you choose to access the internet with your instrument, enthusiasm and a growth mindset.

Nothing beats the convenience of not having to drive, uber, take the bus or subway to band practice.

Need a bathroom or water break? Take one, whenever you need to without interrupting rehearsal. Jump back in whenever you are ready.

Consistency & Code of Conduct

We’re here to play music together and have a great timeβ€”here’s how we keep things running smoothly:

  • Be a great bandmate – support each other, be kind, and bring positive energy.
  • Questions = chat box – drop them in there so we can keep the groove going.
  • If your camera’s on, your clothes are on – enough said!
  • Be ready to play – instrument tuned, tech ready for sound check, music parts practiced, and good to go.

Β  Β * all participants must sign a Code of Conduct agreement outlining expectations to ensure a safe, respectful learning environment for all.
